This is my first blog and intend to dedicate it mostly to Strategic Leadership at Walsh College and how that applies with my Over 40 Redford Hockey League (ORHL). I am one of the league representatives and run one of the eight teams in the league. The leadership in the ORHL is not without drama, and talking about it might be kind of fun.

  2. Hi Bruce,

Yep, your site is up and running. Your questions/discussion about leading a hockey league where everyone plays and no one can be fired is a good one. I suspect that you will garner some interesting responses from classmates. So et al, what will motivate team members? How should the leader approach this problem? Do we need to know more about the problem? This blog should be interesting.

  3. My brother plays hockey and it is interesting you mentioned "not without drama" because hockey can be very physical game and someone can get hurt. These players know to give it back. The good thing he mentioned was have rules and his team is pretty adamant about following rules. I don't know that they every asked someone to leave but I know they have come real close to it it the situation didn't change.
